Chelmsford City Football Club today announced the loan signing of Colchester United’s Cameron James until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old, who can play at the back or in midfield, has appeared twenty-two times for the Sky Bet League Two side in total, including featuring nine times for the U’s so far this term.
He also appeared for United their 1-0 Essex Senior Cup game against City last month.
James was also born Chelmsford.
Also arriving, according to the Pitchero website, is Charlton midfielder George Lapslie, also on loan. The 20-year-old scored on his debut in the EFL Cup, a competition in which he has represented his side on 4 occasions. He has appeared just once for the London side in league competition so far. Lapslie’s brother Tom is a current Colchester United player.
Lapslie joins the club initially on a 1 month deal.
