City midfielder Scott Davies has today terminated his contract with the club in a bid to find regular football elsewhere for the remainder of the season.
He announced the news on Twitter, adding “I really do hope that the boys go and get the job done so that I can say I played a part! Thanks to everyone involved at the club”
The midfielder made 39 appearances for Rod Stringer’s side this season, scoring 3 times, but has since fallen out of favour with the manager finding it difficult to cement a place in the the side.
The 30-year-old, who includes Oxford City, Wealdstone, Oxford United, Crawley and Reading on his CV, also earned 3 caps for the Republic of Ireland Under 21s earlier in his career, but will now be looking for a new team to ply his trade for.
All the best for the future, Scott.
