Mark Haines is set to play his 10th consecutive season for Chelmsford City after agreeing a new deal to remain at the club next season.
Haines, AKA The Lord, signed from Grays Athletic in 2010 and had a brief spell on loan at Bishop’s Stortford during the 2012-13 season. Since joining the club, he has amassed over 250 appearances for the Clarets, becoming a firm fan-favourite with the Club’s supporters.
As is often traditional, Haines’ decade of service will be rewarded at the end of the season with a testimonial match, with details on this to be confirmed at a later date.
The central defender appeared 21 times for City last season, getting on the scoresheet on one occasion.
