Clarets make hard-work of win over Concord

In a scrappy game in tough conditions at Melbourne Park, Chelmsford City snatched a crucial win over Concord Rangers courtesy of Scott Fenwick’s first goal for the club on his full debut.

It was a game of few chances, with the first half in particular being heavily influenced by a strong wind.

Scott Fenwick got the only of the game with just 11 minutes on the clock, when he acrobatically steered in a cross from the right to make it 1-0.

Sean Batt forced a good save from Wells later in the half, but there were few further chances of note for either side.

QPR loanee Josh Wallen made his debut for the club, coming on as a substitute in the second half, picking up a booking shortly after.
