Penalty spot hat-trick for Fenwick gives City victory

Scott Fenwick scored 3 times from the penalty spot to give City a third win on the bounce as they saw off Whitehawk 4-2.

Michael Spillane opened the scoring for the hosts after just four minutes, notching his 7th league goal of the season.

Fenwick doubled the score shortly after making it 2-0 on 13 minutes, when Phil Roberts was dragged down in the box.

From a strong position, City then collapsed conceding twice before the break to make it 2-2.

Whitehawk, who were doing their best to defend the point, saw their hopes hampered when Osa Obamwony was sent off after two bookings in quick succession.

Rod Stringer’s side were handed the chance to restore their lead shortly after and Scott Fenwick duly obliged, netting again from 12 yards to make it 3-2.

The striker completed his hat-trick in stoppage time, again from the penalty spot making it 5 goals in 5 games.
